Are you wondering if you have done it all?

Branding Checklist Must Have For Every SellerWhen you’re selling online, there are a lot of things you need to do to make your business stand out, make your target audience buy from you and make them remember your brand. It can be totally overwhelming especially if you are doing it all by yourself.

So where do we start?

You can start by asking these questions:

  1. What is your product?
  2. How do you want your customers to feel about your brand?
  3. Are your efforts successful in achieving your goals?
  4. Who are your customers?
  5. Are you aware of the right tools to promote your products?

If you are able to answer these questions, well you are on the right track. If not, that’s okay, we’ve all been there before!

1. What Is Your Product?

The very first things you need to do is to know what you’re selling. Think about it and narrow it down. Consider the top 3 things (read: products, services or messages) you have to offer. In order to have a standout brand, you have to know what you’re best at and get your message down to one sentence or a few main ideas.

Cate Blanchet: Why are you doing it?
Sandra Bullock: “because this is what I’m good at!”

So the next time someone says “what do you do?” you have a few words to offer them. Not an hour boring speech.

2. How Do You Want Your Customers To Feel About Your Brand?

How do you want people to feel when they interact with your brand (whatever form that might be: website, business card, handicrafts, organic stuff…etc.)? What do you want them to take away from you?

List 3 kinds of feelings you want them to feel.

After that, think about the things you can do to make them feel that way. It can be through giving freebies, cute packaging, discount coupons, etc.

3. Are Your Efforts Successful In Achieving Your Goals?

Are your social media efforts, email marketing strategies, product packaging, etc. all help you achieve your goals? Or make them feel those feelings you specified above? If you don’t already have any brand assets, consider having this discussion with your friends, co-seller, family and from other experts you meet during craft shows so that you get more insights.

4. Who Are Your Customers?

Think about the people you want to reach, their personalities, and see how they behave. Find a way to get to know them. You can do that easily through social media platforms. Promote engagement on your pages by sharing your products, asking their opinion, ask them questions, etc.

It’ll make marketing your product, service or message much more authentic and effective.

5. Are You Aware Of The Right Tools?

If you are doing everything by yourself, do you know that there are tools that can make your life easier?

Think about who your ideal client or customer is, and research the best ways to reach them using the right tools.
